Yosemite Trip - May/ June 2011

Even though we couldn't camp this year... we just had to get to the trees.

If you looked closely at the rock, you could see running water everywhere.  I've never seen so much here!

Pretty sure I have this shot in my webshots library.

Bridal Vale Falls right before it started hailing on us...

Us at 'our spot'.

Upper & Lower Yosemite Falls

Some of the local wild life having an afternoon feast.

See all the little pockets of snow up there?  The staff at the hotel said it had snowed three days before we arrived ?!

Day 1 Meadow Shot

Day 2 Meadow Shot

Me in front of Upper Yosemite Falls.  It was about 40 degrees and I did not come prepared.  'Twas chilly!

In front of Lower Yosemite Falls

A giant sequoia stump.  This bad boy's roots were about 15 feet high.

There was running water EVERYWHERE!

I LOVE Yosemite, haven't been back in years. Lovely photos. What kind of camera and lens do you use?

@ Cassey: We love it too & thank you ! I use a Cannon T2i. These shots were taken with the stock lense, which I believe its 55mm.

Hi Mary, We were in Yosemite from 5/28 to 6/4. We enjoyed it so much. You might have hiked right by us. I have all the same pictures you have posted. My kids want to go back next year. My favorite recipe is still white chicken in the crock pot.

@ Louise: The waterfalls were just roaring this year. We were so glad to be able to witness it. Love that you dig the white chicken chili as much as we did!
